Disclosure. This site earns affiliate commission on some AI companion apps. Candy.ai pays us up to $44 per subscription; DreamGF pays us nothing. Candy.ai wins this comparison, which means you should read our reasoning with more than usual suspicion. Everything below is checkable against the two pricing pages, and we'd rather you checked than took our word.

The arithmetic that decides this comparison

DreamGF's plans all renew at the same rate, and it isn't obvious until you divide. $311.88 ÷ 12 = $25.99. $77.97 ÷ 3 = $25.99. The monthly plan renews at $25.99.

Every DreamGF plan converges on $25.99 a month once the intro term ends. The multi-month discounts are discounts on the first payment only. Committing to a year doesn't buy a better rate — it buys a longer gap between the number you saw and the number you pay.

Candy.ai's annual plan is one charge of $47.88 and stays $47.88. Over two years: $95.76 against $381.87.

Worth being fair about this: DreamGF discloses every one of those renewal figures on its own pricing page. This is aggressive pricing, not deception. But the intro number is in large type and the renewal is in small type, and the effect on someone skimming on a phone is entirely predictable.

What you actually get for the money

The feature sets are close enough that price should decide it.

Candy.ai — unlimited text chat, 100 tokens a month, image and video generation, custom companion creation. Accepts Bitcoin, Ethereum, USDC and Litecoin, and cards show the descriptor "EverAI."

DreamGF — 100 tokens a month, voice calls and voice messages, image generation at up to five times standard speed, blur removal on generated images, discreet billing descriptors. Extra token packs run $2.99 to $179.99 and are sold only to premium members, so the subscription is a gate to the token store rather than just a feature unlock.

DreamGF's voice calling is the one thing Candy.ai's published feature list doesn't match. If voice is the reason you're here, that's a real point in its favour — weigh it against paying six and a half times more from year two.

Who runs them

Both name a real company, which puts them ahead of much of this category — Janitor AI and Muah.AI name nobody at all.

CONFIRMED Candy.ai — EverAI Limited, Malta, registration C107181, 56 Central Business Centre, Triq Is-Soll, Santa Venera. Terms governed by Maltese law.

CONFIRMED DreamGF — DreamAI SRL, registered in Bucharest, Romania, per its own site footer.

Both are in the EU, so both give EU and UK buyers a statutory 14-day right of withdrawal regardless of company policy. Outside the EU and UK the picture diverges sharply — see below.

Refunds: one bad policy, one missing one

Candy.ai — published, and tighter than it looks

Outside the EU and UK: 24 hours to request a refund, denied if you have used more than 20 tokens. You get 100 tokens a month and image generation spends them. You can lose refund eligibility inside your first hour while testing the exact feature you paid for.

DreamGF — we could not find one at all

NOT PUBLISHED We could not locate a refund policy for DreamGF anywhere we could reach. Outside the EU and UK, assume the first payment is non-refundable unless you find terms saying otherwise before you pay.

A tight published policy beats no findable policy. At least you can read Candy.ai's and plan around it.

What neither will tell you

One number about Candy.ai you should weigh against our verdict

Half its traffic is bought

52.71% of Candy.ai's desktop traffic comes from affiliate marketing — the highest dependence of any app we track. It pays up to $44 per sale or 40% of your spend for the life of the account, which is why every comparison you find, including this one, has a financial reason to favour it.

The check to apply: does the page ever tell you something that costs it money? We've told you the free tier is five messages, that the refund dies at 20 tokens, and that DreamGF's voice calling is a genuine advantage. If a comparison never says any of that, it was written to convert you, not inform you.

Verdict

Candy.ai, on price, and it isn't close. $47.88 a year against $311.88 for a broadly equivalent product is not a preference, it's arithmetic. Add crypto payment, published corporate registration, and a refund policy you can at least read, and there's no version of this where DreamGF is the value choice.

The one case for DreamGF: you specifically want voice calling, you're going to use it for a few months, and you'll cancel before the renewal. At $12.99 for a first month that's a defensible short-term buy. Set a calendar reminder the day you subscribe, because $25.99 a month arrives quietly.

Before you pay for either: Candy.ai's $5.60 weekly plan is the cheapest real trial in the category — the five-message free tier tells you nothing. And if you're outside the EU or UK, read Candy.ai's refund terms *before* you generate a single image, because 20 tokens goes faster than 24 hours does.
