Pattern worth knowing before you subscribe
Three of the seven apps above use pricing structures designed to make the first payment look small: an intro rate that renews far higher (DreamGF), a weekly plan that annualises to roughly $259 (PolyBuzz), or an annual plan advertised as a monthly figure it is not (Candy.ai's "$3.99/mo" is a single $47.88 charge). None of this is hidden — it is all on their own pricing pages. It is just not what the headline number says.

Three rules, and they are the whole method.
- Primary sources only for facts. Prices come from the company's own pricing page, corporate details from its own terms of service, breach data from Have I Been Pwned, regulatory actions from the regulator's own publication. We do not repeat figures we found on other review sites.
- Date-stamp everything that moves. Pricing in this category changes often and varies by country and by when you signed up. Nomi still honours a cheaper legacy plan for older accounts; Replika shows two different monthly prices. Any price without a date on it is not information.
- Say "we don't know" out loud. Several apps here publish no pricing we could reach, name no company, and disclose no model. Other sites fill those gaps anyway. We leave them marked UNVERIFIED and explain what we tried.
Our conflict of interest, stated plainly
We earn affiliate commission on some of these apps and not on others. Candy.ai pays affiliates up to $44 per subscription or 40% of revenue for the life of the account. Character.AI, Replika and Nomi, as far as we can find, pay affiliates nothing. That gives every affiliate site on the internet — including this one — a financial reason to steer you toward the adult apps and away from the mainstream ones. Read our verdicts with that in mind, and note where we recommend an app that pays us zero.
